Day 7/365

It's NAIDOC week (a week of celebrations across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life). And as someone who studies comics, and has worked in sexual health for a long time, I wanted to pay tribute to one of my *favourite* superheroes from 1987: Condoman. This guy is absolute cool. Note too even my Condoman pin, lovingly gifted by my friend Viv when she saw my eyes light up at it. The whole look is finished off by a touch of Ken Done, with a particularly delightful and durable PVC bag.

Did Ken ever do public health / public campaigns?
Or did he only do Swan Beer ads?
Either way Ken's a genious.

Condoman?! Brillant; thanks so much for multiple trips down memory lane.

And did you see if you clicked on through that Condoman has had a 2009-update of style? I'm not sure I'm convinced he actually needed it - what with his original styling being so rad - but if more and more folk get to know about this *hero* good times can only keep coming...
