Day 135/365: On a Day to Celebrate Generosity!

Hand-made earrings and necklace, Ken Done scarf donated, insect bangles from the Australian museum, insect ring, Yoshi Jones dress, Italian pants from op shop, Fluevog shoes (my second ever pair from Sole Devotion).

There is such a *lovely* story behind this scarf. On a Friday not so long ago, I get a call from my friend and work colleague Evan (see Day 104/365 - he's one of the twin-dresses!), and he's found me this Ken Done scarf in the Red Cross boutique op-shop in Newtown. So he speaks with the *wonderful* Bianca (see her below) who works in the shop and tells her all about What Ken Be Done, and our aim to raise the profile, support and much needed funds for The Social Studio. Bianca's convinced and donates the scarf to the cause! Evan is so pleased he buys some vintage goodies from this *very good* op-shop (they sort the clothing people... 359 King Street - go there!).

This is a cycle of generosity, of fun, and doing *good* work! Now I will spare you some link to Elton John's 'The Circle of Life' (!!!), but I'm *high* on this kind of giving.

And seeing as the scarf itself is of butterflies, I'm also showcasing my vintage insect jewellery and a kind of garden-theme to my outfit. Thank you Evan, thank you Bianca, thank you Red Cross Newtown! xo xo

Lyndel, I look forward to hearing how your Sydney shopping goes... perhaps more snaps to share? :-)

Prince Charming: A growing tribe needs *good* sustenance... like Ken Done items, fun 1980s photos, and donations to The Social Studio... Any chance you can help out there? ;-)
