The first piece from the 'Jackie Box' gifted by Ken and Judy Done, and of course everyone at the Ken Done Gallery.
It might not be what you need on a Monday when heading back to work or school, but look at these amazing photos of dearest Sally showcasing a wonderful Ken Done scarf in her holiday in Bali. I love how she can go from using it as a bathing wrap to a more formal garment. Just goes to show why Ken Done scarves are a must for travel!
Sometimes I even scare myself with how much I can dress like a 1970s librarian. This vintage wool orange and brown orange jacket has a label that reads, 'Exclusively Yours Hartnell Melbourne.' I think this jacket, with the Ken Done glasses and *rad* case might just be exclusively a style of my own. What do you think?
Imagin(e) a world where a fan has multiple pairs of Ken Done glasses. Oh look - it's happening!

This day has been 59 days in the making... but it's here now: a double, twin-Done day!
There's something about the idea of 'twin sets' that makes me think of orange. Perhaps it's because I own this handmade vintage twin set gem. I'm very excited to match the quintessential 60s fabric with a Ken Done donated scarf gift from the talented and delightful David M.

All this talk of political 'horse trading' has inspired me to wear my Italian shirt, adorned with stirrups and saddles. Picking up on green, another Ken Done CanTeen scarf.
I'm putting on my game jumper today to rally our spirits for Australian democracy. Vote #1 The Social Studio! Give your preferences to Ken Done vintage gear! Have you taken the WKBD poll? Go to the bottom of this main page... (It's now in the grey section, and easier to read)
You see I've been told all my life that red and pink *clash* and therefore should never be worn together. Clearly however, I take my cues from the fashion of Ken Done. So *snaps* for these KD glasses! These beauties are going to be featured often, often, often :-)
And in fact, these glasses are so popular already that the lovely Kathy Lamp (a woman I just met on a Sydney street, she was visiting from Perth) just had to try them on herself yesterday. I think Kathy looks great!
Ka-pow! Me and Ken Done! Yes, I got to meet the man himself yesterday afternoon. Now you can see why I was wearing my Ken Done doona turned into *rad* dress by The Social Studio. And Ken was mighty impressed! I gave him his very own TSS scarf too - he loved it!
But not only that - check out the box of goodies he gifted below. Titled the 'Jackie Box' this was Judy Done's idea... and everyone has been finding vintage Ken Done goodies for me to showcase, and then auction off to raise money for The Social Studio. Just wait 'til you see what's in here!
I can't wait any longer... I need to share this *fantastic* dress made by young people from The Social Studio, using Ken Done fabric we found in an op-shop. All praise to the skills of Enayatullah for making this dress, and to Abuk for the design. Thank You, stylists!
Today is the 19th day of the 8th month. So I'm celebrating today as 1980's day! Featured is Ken Done red bag**, matched with influential and amazing 1980s Sydney Designer's Studibaker Hawk red jacket. Look closely at my jacket pocket to spot my original Ghostbusters patch too (film made in 1984, naturally).
** This KD bag has a great story behind it. The day before I started this whole WKBD shebang I was in Enmore, Sydney. I was walking past an op-shop and felt the 'Pull of Done' (soon to become a technical shopping term!). I decided that if I found Done in that op-shop it was a sign this project would do *good* and I must do it (because I was very, very nervous, see?). I walk in the store, and straight away spot this mint-condition bag. Then I walk up to the store staff, and they tell me this bag costs $5 dollars. Five dollars! Now that was a good day… and the rest, it's becoming history!
Thank you for being part of this *good fashion for good* movement…
Art to Wear. Indeed. You know you're dressing in the 80's when a shirt this big is labelled 'M.' Thanks Ken Done, for all the "original designs" I'm getting to showcase!

It also felt like a great day to celebrate "100% Polyester."
To facilitate a potential 'Ken Done come down' from the glory of my jumper yesterday, to the KD scarf of today, I've included my vintage Sussan cardigan in this outfit. Just adds a little something extra, I think!
News Flash! Here's me with Sally Bruce, my number #1 Fan!
