Day 326/356

Vintage Sunski glasses, Ken Done silk scarf, vintage Australiana dress from op shop donated by Birdmonkey, vintage Studibaker Hawk 1980s silk jacket, vintage belt, Ken Done tote donated by Cousin Christine.

I'm pretty sure when Birdmonkey donated this wool-knit Australiana dress to What Ken Be Done she told a story about how her friends had said, 'No one would wear that dress - it's so ugly!' Birdmonkey didn't concur with her peers, because by then she'd come to realise I'll pretty much give any outfit a go at least once...

So this morning I don on the 'green and gold' wool dress, and as I'm strolling up the road in search of caffeine a woman walking her dog says, 'What a great skirt... Love it!' She was inspired, and I'm inspired! Now this is my second Friday in a row of wearing a 1980s vintage woollen jumper-dress... do you think Ken Done Industries will take my call and start churning out 'Rob Paynter for Ken Done' wool dresses in no time?!! I can only live in hope...

And speaking of living in hope, check out the *seriously gorgeous* photo sent in by Skye of her son wearing KD. Skye explains it was this Ken Done koala jumper that re-ignited her own *love* of The Guru. Then she lamented the lost opportunity that was adult-sized Ken Done koala-ear jumpers. I know what she means... then again, perhaps me in a "koala-bear" costume jumper just may finally be crossing a fashion line!

Thanks Birdmonkey, and thanks Syke for yet another Inspiring Ken Done Friday! xo

It looks great on you! Although we will have to see how many people vote bleeding eyes today for the final verdict

Birdmonkey: So the 'bleeding eyes' didn't completely win out in the judging stakes! Plus I really just kept getting compliments for this woollen number. Brown Australiana wool dress - who would have thought? - well YOU. Thanks for your support xo

Anon: Hideous? Come now, really? How about about just fashion-tragic-but-in-a-*good*-way?!

Skye: Thanks lovely. And I see Little Dude is keeping up the colour stakes with his own *great* hat yesterday! Let's hope the school system doesn't try to knock it out of him... I think he has a good chance with you around! :-)

Lyndel: Too true - *good* work on a Non-Done item! xo
